Learning on and off the pitch

For most of our students, football is why they choose us and as the only professional football club in Shropshire, we aim to give every student the chance to play at a competitive level regardless of individual ability. We have two campuses that offer football courses: Shrewsbury and Ludlow (coming soon!).

We aim to encourage and inspire our students to participate in the game, develop new skills and make new friends. Our courses provide our students with the social skills, they need to enjoy their course but to also move on to higher education and employment.

Our Shrewsbury campus is home to a wide of facilities to both facilitate and further our students while studying on their courses.

Shrewsbury Town College and University offer unique teaching and training spaces that complement our wide range of higher and further education courses.

Whether it’s studying tactics in one of our modular classrooms or training on the Community 3G Pitch, Shrewsbury is the perfect place for those aspiring to pursue a career in sports. On most of our courses, you can study while playing and we have a dedicated coaching team to support you and your skills on and off the pitch.

Outside of their studies, students also have access to our outdoor gym facilities and can socialise in many of our communal spaces, all while being surrounded by Shrewsbury Town FC’s home ground, Montgomery Waters Meadow.
